Fans of The Day Before eagerly anticipated the release of promised gameplay footage since January. The long-awaited video is finally out and provides an insight into the game's features, such as crafting and weapon customization. However, the authenticity of the footage has been questioned by many due to the lack of HUD elements. Additionally, the previously promised April 2023 gameplay was much more detailed.
Fntastic released both a long and a short video of The Day Before on their YouTube channel. The first video is ten minutes long and mostly focuses on the character shooting zombies alongside crafting and weapon customization. There are, however, no visible HUD elements such as life bars or an active target. The second video is short but shows a different part of the game and its character, as well as the person playing it on a PC.
The game's release has been delayed multiple times and is now expected to come out on November 10th, 2023, on PC. Plans for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S console versions are also in the works. This has caused some controversy around the existence of the game. The moderator of The Day Before's Discord server recently admitted to having doubts about it.
In conclusion, the release of the new gameplay videos of The Day Before has been met with doubts and skepticism. Even though it doesn't show anything spectacular, it has provided a brief insight into the game's features. Fans can expect the full version to come out on November 10th, 2023, on PC and later on for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
